How Onboarding Works

When you open Smara for the first time, a guided onboarding flow helps you set up the app to match your spiritual practice.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough

1. Sign in — Create an account using Email OTP, Google, or Apple sign-in.
2. Choose your language — Select your preferred language from English, Telugu, or Hindi. You can change this later.
3. Select your deity preferences — Pick the deities you follow so Smara can surface relevant mantras, puja guides, and content.
4. Set your location — Provide your location for accurate daily Panchang information including tithi, nakshatra, and auspicious timings.
5. Enable notifications — Choose whether to receive reminders for daily sadhana, upcoming events, and panchang alerts.

What Happens Next

After onboarding, your home screen is personalized with recommended mantras, today's Panchang, and nearby temples. You can revisit any of these settings at any time from your profile.

If you skipped a step during onboarding, go to Profile > Settings to complete your setup.
