How to Create an Event

Events in Smara are organized within Sangam groups. Admins and moderators can create events for their community members.

Steps to Create an Event

1. Open the Sangam where you want to host the event.
2. Tap the Events tab.
3. Tap Create Event.
4. Fill in the event details:
   • Title — A clear name for the event (e.g., "Weekly Bhajan Session").
   • Date and time — Set the start date, start time, and end time.
   • Description — Explain what the event is about and what participants should expect.
   • Location — Add a physical address or indicate if the event is virtual.
   • Visibility — Choose whether the event is visible to all Smara users or only to Sangam members. See Event Visibility and Access.
5. Tap Create to publish the event.

After Creating

• Sangam members will be notified about the new event.
• Members can RSVP to indicate their attendance.
• You can edit or cancel the event later if plans change. See Edit or Cancel an Event.
