Edit or Cancel an Event

If event details change or you need to cancel an event, Sangam admins and moderators can manage events directly from the app.

How to Edit an Event

1. Open the Sangam and go to the Events tab.
2. Select the event you want to edit.
3. Tap the Edit button (pencil icon).
4. Update any fields — title, date, time, description, location, or visibility.
5. Tap Save Changes.

All members who RSVPed will receive a notification about the updated details.

How to Cancel an Event

1. Open the event from the Events tab.
2. Tap the three-dot menu and select Cancel Event.
3. Optionally, add a cancellation message explaining the reason.
4. Confirm the cancellation.

Cancelled events are marked as cancelled rather than deleted, so members can still see the cancellation notice. All RSVPed members will be notified.

Important Notes

• Only the event creator, Sangam admins, and moderators can edit or cancel events.
• Past events cannot be edited but remain visible in the event history.
