Leave or Report a Sangam

If you no longer wish to be part of a Sangam or encounter a group that violates Smara's guidelines, you can leave or report it.

How to Leave a Sangam

Open the Sangam you want to leave.
Tap the Settings icon (gear) in the top right.
Scroll down and tap Leave Sangam.
Confirm your decision.

After leaving, you will no longer see posts or events from that Sangam. You can rejoin a public Sangam at any time, or request an invitation for a private one.

If You Are the Admin

Admins cannot leave a Sangam without first transferring ownership to another member. Go to Sangam Settings > Transfer Ownership to assign a new Admin before leaving.

How to Report a Sangam

If a Sangam violates Smara's Community Guidelines, you can report it:

Open the Sangam page.
Tap the three-dot menu and select Report Sangam.
Choose the reason for your report (e.g., offensive content, spam, misinformation).
Add any additional details and submit.

Reports are reviewed by Smara's moderation team. You will not be identified to the Sangam when you file a report.
