What is a Sangam?

A Sangam is a devotional community group within Smara. The word "Sangam" means a confluence or gathering, and in Smara it represents a space where devotees come together to share their spiritual journey.

What Sangams Offer

  • Shared Devotion -- Connect with fellow devotees who share your spiritual interests
  • Community Events -- Participate in group pujas, mantra chanting sessions, and festivals
  • Spiritual Support -- Encourage and inspire each other in daily sadhana practice
  • Local Connections -- Find devotees in your area for in-person gatherings

Types of Sangams

Sangams can be organized around different themes:

  • Temple-based communities
  • Tradition-specific groups (Shaiva, Vaishnava, Shakta, etc.)
  • Regional language communities
  • Sadhana practice groups

Each Sangam has community guidelines to maintain a respectful and sacred atmosphere for all members.
