Language Not Updating

If you changed your language setting in Smara but the app still displays content in the previous language, follow these steps.

Quick Fixes

1. Restart the app — Close Smara completely (remove it from recent apps) and reopen it. Some language changes require a full app restart.
2. Check the setting — Go to Profile > Language Settings and confirm your preferred language is selected and saved.
3. Clear cache — On Android, go to Settings > Apps > Smara > Storage > Clear Cache. On iOS, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
4. Update the app — Ensure you are running the latest version from Google Play or the Apple App Store.

Partial Language Updates

If only some screens update and others remain in the old language, this may be a display caching issue. Restarting the app usually resolves it. If it persists, see Fix Mixed-Language Display Issues.

Known Limitations

• Some user-generated content (e.g., Sangam posts by other users) will appear in the language it was written in, regardless of your app language setting.
• Mantra lyrics language can be set independently from the app interface language.
